Virtual-only volunteer opportunities may be available if proof of vaccine is not provided.

Volunteer process

  1. Review our current available volunteer positions.

  2. Plan to attend a Volunteer Information Session to learn more about the IRC SLC. Please email [email protected] with any questions.

  3. After you’ve attended a volunteer information session, we’ll send you a volunteer application to complete.

  4. The volunteer coordinator will contact you regarding potential volunteer opportunities as they become available. We are working to swiftly onboard community volunteers; however, please expect 4-6 weeks to ensure processing, including submission of needed documents, completing background checks, and connecting to your program of interest.

  5. You're ready to get started! Depending on your role, you'll either receive further training from your in-office department or wait to be matched with a family to tutor and/or mentor.

  6. Track your volunteer hours and remember to submit them monthly to the volunteer coordinator. Recorded volunteer hours help us meet critical grant requirements, ensuring funding year after year.
